Lots of Fun for Children

Balloon twisting is only one exciting thing to see!
Games, crafts, face painting, and more!
This year, the Carnegie Arts and Heritage Festival is going to emphasize “Family Friendly” for a portion of the festival, sponsored by Adventist Community Services-Greater Pittsburgh. The stage near the East Main and Mary Street intersection will feature comedians, clowns, performing arts, and children’s events. The first $10,000.00 raised in the youth section this year will be utilized to support Carnegie Youth Programs! If you would like to volunteer to help, or if you have an idea or event you would like to see at the festival, or if you would like to financially support a youth event or booth, please e-mail youth@carnegieartsandheritage.com
Bring your kids to enjoy the festival, too! here are a few things they'll be able to do all three days:
- face painting
- coloring contest with prizes (judging will be Saturday)
- letters and donations for soldiers
- carnival games
- a special Children's Artist corner
The events that are special for Saturday only are (check back for times!):
- ABC Balloon Twisting
- Story Reading at the Family Stage
- Safety Smokehouse with Firefighter Interaction
- Unearthing a time capsule and creating a new time capsule to be buried at Andrew Carnegie Free Library & Music Hall
